It gives you a glimpse of what a reader would experience - which is hard when you're in the middle of it :pD.V. I wrote stories pretty much non-stop from childhood up until high school--when I decided creative writing wasn't "cool" for awhile. I recently uncovered many of my middle school ramblings, and they aren't nearly as dreadful as I remembered. Some are actually quite cute, and it's nice to be reminded how dedicated I was back then. Good luck with your new manuscript!LisaAnnhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02084670148565013397noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2493374557572257968.post-16632248123761700772012-10-23T15:24:16.086-07:002012-10-23T15:24:16.086-07:00I was looking through some old moving boxes that I...I was looking through some old moving boxes that I haven't opened in literally years. I came across a short story I wrote in high school that I hadn't looked at in over a decade. I was floored because it wasn't as bad as I remembered. Glad you're sticking with the writing, 100k + is an accomplishment and yes, if you did it in the past, you can do it again, and better! Many people would have abandoned their project after struggling with it for so long. Tenacity is key to finishing a novel, but I'm sure that's something you already know.

Hopefully third time's the charm. I'll keep my fingers crossed that this is your breakout novel. Best of luck. Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00501918398545296619noreply@blogger.com
